About Cups

Cups, an Espresso Café, is a family owned and operated business that provides high-quality coffee and art space to local communities. In 1993, founders Dennis and Janice Cameron saw the need for an artistic coffeehouse in Jackson, Mississippi, and opened their flagship store in the historic Fondren neighborhood. Now Cups has locations all over Central Mississippi, and we continue to grow.

Each Cups location has its own personality and small business owner, with a consistent standard of excellence. We select only the highest quality Arabica beans from all over the world and roast them at our headquarters.

Community Roots

Our store owners live in the communities where they work, and they know their customers because they are neighbors. We invest our profits back into the community by roasting our own coffee, baking many of our pastries and purchasing as many items as possible from local sources. Taking care of the environment is a priority for us, and we offer reusable mugs and utensils in our stores, and polystyrene disposable cups.

Cups gives back by supporting various charities and events, and providing free gallery space to local artists. Entrepreneurs and students often use our coffee shops for a workspace, enjoying the free Wi-Fi and the ambience. There’s no telling how many innovative projects have been created within our walls.

Investment in Staff

It’s important to Cups founder Janice Cameron to encourage the development of each person who comes to work for Cups. An artist herself, Janice wants Cups’ baristas and managers to use their gifts in ways that fulfill them and benefit the community. Our staff includes talented artists and musicians who are as creative with their drinks as they are with their art.
